one of the best

i knew the drive along highway 1 between "amazing" santa barbara & santa cruz would be good.... 

...but i didn't know,   

it would be one of the best experiences of my life! 

the minute you change from mega monster highway of death #101 to highway 1 you feel it.  

6 lanes becomes 1, speed limits become normal, coastline appears, 

driving is fun again.  (even in a chevy sedan..) 

do it north to south, or do it south to north. do it in 1 day, or do it in 2 days. do it in a convertible super car, or do it an RV.. ensure you stop at every frickan corner to admire the insanity of it's beauty.... 

do it however you want---JUST BE SURE YOU DO IT!!!!

all beautifulness aside.. don't be an idiot (like me). ensure you  fill up your gas tank before you go.. or you may have to stop in what is sure to be the camp ground that solo female travelers come to DIE!!!  this picture may look nice... but i was so scared i didn't even want to stop long enough to take a photo of the gas station!!

i don't believe in god, but i do believe that there is such a thing as heaven --- it's right here xxxx 

they call this highway "the place where the sea meets the sky".

 i don't know who they are, but they couldn't have said it better.

 the hype that i felt crossing this bridge is a little embarrassing... but who cares - i will never forget it & can't wait to feel that same excitement in life again. (soon!)

highway 1 "peak" = doing it alone. i have a feeling that i may not have felt the impact if i were with someone. 

highway 1 "peak #2" as there is NO PIT =  driving along side heaven, feeling freedom i have never felt & knowing i get to do it all again!
